This 2nd semester is going to be fun I think. I like my classes more this semester than I did last although I wish they didn't switch up the teachers for a class I already had for the same subject such as Math, because I was getting used to my Teacher and her style of teaching and then they switch it up so I don't know my teacher and I think the students were being taught something else.
Today my schedule is This class, Spanish, P.E. and Math. I like Spanish more this semester because I have in 6th block instead of 8th and I have friends and people I know well in that class who I am more comfortable asking questions to. P.E. is alright except I don't like getting all sweaty and Math is Math.
I am going to try to maintain good grades throughout the year, last semester was good except for Spanish but I have a much better feeling about it this semester. This new semester and getting a clean slate is good and bad for me because classes like Spanish it gives me a chance to redeem myself, but it is bad for my classes like Physics because I got a C last semester, Math because as of now I am struggling and last semester I had a B, It doesn't matter for English or 20th Century World History because I will always pass those and I am excited for this class not just because I am in this class right now but I like writing.
Later in the year I am debating if I should try out for Baseball and if I am good enough to make the team. I know I am playing Raccoon Valley Baseball but I don't know if it is worth the tryout or not although I want to do something extracurricular this year.
I have enjoyed High School more than any school so far and I think it will just keep getting better. If this goes off recent years 2nd semester will be even better and I will be able to learn as much as I can for my Sophomore year.
When I wrote Sophomore year I just thought about it and I am thinking Wow because it seems like a couple days ago I was just a little kid in first grade, it reminds me of the movie I saw the other day named Boy Hood where they used the same actor the whole movie as he got older and it is true because life goes about that fast it almost seems like 2 1/2 hours.
That being said I am going to live life now and prepare myself for my future this semester and I am going to try out for Baseball. I can't believe about 3 minutes of typing has changed my mind about trying out for Baseball, my Brain must be pretty easily manipulated by my thoughts.
This semester I am going to work harder than I did last because I was slacking off and being lazy. But I can make that a learning experience for me and help guide me to make the right decisions when it comes to studying and this Semester will be much better than the last.

I am John Nile Fatland and I go by Nile, I was born in Des Moines, Iowa and have lived here ever since. I live with my Mom, Dad and my Sister who is 10. I am 14 years old and attend Roosevelt High School.
I enjoy watching/playing sports such as Football, Basketball and Baseball. I also enjoy playing video games, listening to music and hanging out with friends.
I took this class because I love writing and that it will help me on becoming a even better writer. I love writing but I hate reading and because of that I am going to try to start reading more so I can expand my vocabulary to better myself as a writer.
My favorite sports teams are the Iowa Hawkeyes, Oregon Ducks, Minnesota Vikings, STL. Cardinals and Los Angeles Lakers. I was very disappointed when Oregon lost to Ohio State but there is always next year.
So far I have enjoyed High School and what it has to offer. I am planing to play Baseball in the spring for Roosevelt.
I want to play Football again but I am not sure if I am big, strong or fast enough to take all the hits or potential concussions. I quit Football back in 7th Grade because it seemed as in everyone became giants and I just stayed the same size. I have never been a fast or big person but I still love to watch Football and play Football with friends.
I like playing Basketball the most out of my three favorite sports because I love the tempo of the game and how competitive it is. I don't play Basketball for Roosevelt but I play daily at the YMCA and my backyard.
I am not sure how long I will be in Iowa because my Mom wants to move back to her home state of California so we can live with my Grandma. I don't really want to move because I like Iowa and Roosevelt, she does say that it will be in a couple years so I guess I don't have to worry.
After High School I want to go to The University of Iowa and if I move to California I want to go to California Berkley, UC Santa Barbara or UCLA. I want to go to college because I feel like I fare better in the world if I have one.
Lately my routine has been going to school, coming home for about 30 minutes, playing basketball at the Y, coming home an eating dinner, taking a shower and going to bed, not the most exciting life but I am alright with it.
So that is my very exciting, action packed life.
